JUST PLAY RECORDS introduce Mehi, a new and talented emerging young artist.
Artistically, Mehi is ahead of his time. A Punjabi singer who incorporates traditional Punjabi vocals with contemporary western beats with a twist.
Mehi's latest album, 'The Rebirth' introduces original production with various different musical styles. The lyrics combines a touch of traditional Punjabi folk feel with urban street beats, alongside Fusing Naked Beats who are renowned for fusing their Eastern heritage with that of that of the West.
Mehi’s aim is to cross boundaries and introduce a whole new meaning to Punjabi music, ‘The Rebirth’ features some very special guest artists including General Levy, Sandhya Sanjana, Kat Neocleous, Kelz and tabla work by Alok Verma, alongside great productions from Fusing Naked Beats and Mehi.
‘The Rebirth’ has a unique electronic Punjabi landscape which blends many diverse elements into one cohesive and unifying experience. The album features 9 tracks covering nearly all genres of urban/Punjabi music. This album is said not to be a ‘traditional Bhangra album’.
