Kray Twinz - What We Do

Kray Twinz - What We Do

Release date: October 31

Two identical characters that not only look alike but also think alike, with musical minds that are highly innovative, inspiring and exciting, welcome to the phenomenon of the Kray Twinz. UK born producers, the Twinz dedicated much time and effort in perfecting new beats and breaks that were by far too advanced for their time.

The Twinz played on the Bhangra Dj circuit ferociously, in which their sets ignited dancefloors all over the UK, playing exclusive material other Dj's found difficult to match.

They became a flagship name touted by the UK Bhangra industry. By Co producing with Panjabi MC, the result being "Mudian Te Bach ke" a UK No.5 chart smash which then went on to receive worldwide recognition and fame, they have brought Asian music to the attention of the general public.

Immediately a demand for the two had Bhangra labels hunting to sign them thereafter.

It was only a matter of time before they were unleashed onto the mainstream. They are masters of integrating the traditional aspects of Indian sounds into western concepts, making each concept or track extremely danceable and unique.

Music in general is now following a strong Asian theme not only utilised in R'n'B and Hip Hop; it has stretched across from Pop music to House and UK Garage, there's still plenty of channels not yet explored and experimented with.

Bhangra has become the Dance music for the Indians and has naturally fused with western mainstream music. The Kray Twinz, until now, have been waiting in the shadows; creating and perfecting their unique musical style.

In that time, mainstream pioneers such as Lil' Kim, Jay Z, Missy Elliot and Truth Hurts have all used Asian instruments, samples, and vocals in their own way.

They have all had success with this but have so far only touched the tip of the iceberg in respect to the vast possibilities that are within their grasp; Many of the samples used have had no real connection to the English language lyrics of the songs.

It is now time for someone to fuse the two styles completely, accessible to both languages and cultures, creating a musical form more powerful and moving than ever before.

The Kray Twinz started to make waves within the American music industry, with many successful and recognised recording artists eager to be the first with these new sounds and rythmns, the list is already impressive: Hip hop and rap pioneers Pharcyde have recently completed a track for their forthcoming album.

Award winning dancehall artists Ce'cile and Mr. Vegas are currently in the studio with the Twinz. It is the turn of the Kray Twinz, bringing their unique and diverse knowledge of the Asian culture, musical knowledge to mesmerise and astonish an unsuspecting audience.

Their skills can transform any concept or piece of music into a heady fusion of cultures, emotion, and above all, beats to create the next big phenomenon in mainstream music

Watch out for their debut single, "What We Do," October 31st, 2005.
