Harj Uppal, is ready to make her debut appearance on the international music scene with her debut album.

Born and raised in Vancouver, Canada, Harj has been intrigued by the sound and synthesis of music since the early years of childhood. As a youngster, she was known for her enthusiasm for singing. This enthusiasm turned into a passion, a dream, and now after years of training with both western and eastern musicians, she is ready to live her dream of becoming North America’s first female Punjabi pop artist.

The upcoming album is a testament to Harj’s hard work, commitment and artistic talent. A gifted singer and lyricist, Harj has co-written tracks on her new album. She has collaborated with writers such as Jujar Binning, Jasbir Gunichoria, and Gurbachan Singh to create songs that mesh traditional Punjabi lyrics with soulful western style vocals.

“I grew up listening to both English and Indian music so I wanted to incorporate aspects of both genres into this album in order to make it unique to me.”

All of Harj’s artistic elements along with the amazing music production of Nick Chowlia, are what make this a unique album in a category of its own. With the production expertise and guidance of Aura Records, Harj Uppal’s debut album will reveal to the world her own brand of Punjabi music with a Canadian twist.

i have to agree with u guys. her voice is very nasal. maybe if she would sing thru her mouth it would sound better. also the video was hurtin. really does need dance lessons. but it is her first album so.............also that hair style in her video makes her nose look big. stick to what looks good

It's a known fact that alot of messages posted on Asian/Bhangra websites are by people linked to the industry themselves, i.e Artists/Producers/Labels/DJ's/Promoters & so on.

A Label owner has let his guard down recently, over the past 18mths+ he's been posting on several different well known Bhangra website messageboards under different alias names, praising the act under his label. It became quite obvious when the act is not popular on the streets & is not even amongst the average sellers list in UK Bhangra.

The label owner is Mr Bobby Basran, a promoter of gigs, turned record label owner (Limitless Records). On several different message boards he has on so many occassions tried to build up hype for PBN.

Under the name 'Bally Singh' he posts mosts of his messages on the popular Bhangra website "Wass-up.com/So-Asians.com". His I.P address was traced & it matched that off the owner of Limitless Records.

We're all aware that when acts who are not doing so well & have constant message board 'Big Up's', it becomes blatant that it is their own people doing so but the fact that 'Bally Singh' aka Bobby Basran does it this so much on different message boards, cheap under hand promotional tactics.

Makes you wonder if he has his own people sending text messages & posting on Asian radio station message boards to bring a sense of fake street popularity to their name.

Hope this was interesting reading, feel free to read the posts on Wass-up.com/So-Asians.com, he's trying real hard to push the new product but these cheap tactics are becoming obvious. You will also see many more posts on other Bhangra websites message boards by him under different alias names.
