1TD - Are You Ready?

'The Next Step' is the debut album by West Midlands-based '1TD' [pronounced Wanted] and features 8-tracks in a range of music styles. Whilst always maintaining the traditions of Punjab and their childhood upbringing, they have not forgotten about the urban beats and sounds of their British way of life. 1TD are not here for the short term; they are in it for the long haul.

1TD burst into scene in the spring of 1992, when in their previous guise as the Heera Dancers Barz, Ragg-E, Subz and ND decided to take their love of dance and traditional Bhangra to a professional level. The Heera Dancers were born while 1TD's future plot to conquer was just being hatched. Year 2006 finds 1TD striving forward from the successes the Heera Dancers created, but now in their own right, they are a genuine and unique addition to the British Asian music scene. Whilst maintaining their position as one of the UK's talented freestyle dance troops, 1TD have also blossomed into a fully-fledged singing quartet.

With fresh and hypnotic Bhangra beats gelled with a desi harvest of real instrumentation, 1TD keep the roots of Bhangra alive without being swayed by samples, MC-ing and Rap flurries. With their two debut videos ready to hit the TV airwaves - 'Lambra' and 'Aja Mahi' - 1TD's plan of action is straightforward "Deliver the very best, and you shall reap the rewards."
